Well written and well plotted, but with predictable, generic characters. The main character is a surly, feeling sorry for himself private investigator, who cannot move on from his daughter's disappearance 10 years ago. It's the angle that drives the story and character, and it gets grating after a while. That said, the overall story is good, well told with a decent ending.
